A Message From Mark

Mark - Fishresource.comFebruary 18, 2007 :: The holidays are over and the snow will be melting soon, which means we'll be unwrapping the boats and getting ready for another season out on the water. As we refreshed the web site over the winter, we thought about the popularity of angling and how freshwater fishing is one of North America's most popular participation sports. It's so popular for many reasons. In addition to the anticipation and thrill of hooking a trophy fish, angling provides the opportunity for the competitive and casual angler to simply relax and enjoy the outdoors.

Most people carry some kind of an "escape'' dream, a place, a plan or a memory for when the pace of life reaches a point where they need to take a step back. For some, this dream takes them to far off lands whereas others set sail across the oceans on a distant voyage. For us at Fishresource.com and many others, the notion of ascape is a much simpler one. By droping a boat, large or small, into the water, and putting a lure at the end of a line, we are able to realize this dream.

For many lovers of wildlife, simply becoming a part of nature is a reward in iteslf, yet for others, fishing allows us to spend a few moments alone, away form the pace and challenges of modern life. It can also allow us to spend time with a fishing partner or two creating memories that last a lifetime. Whatever your reasons for being drawn to this incredible sport, whether they be for the pure competition of meeting the challenge of getting a fish to take the bait or to enjoy time with friends, the crew at Fishresource.com would like to wish you a safe and enjoyable season in 2007.

Regards, and tight lines!
