Nunavut Weather

One of the main reasons, we at Fishresource.com believe, that Nunavut is so sparsely populated, is because of it's cold climate. Nunavut offers incredible fishing, but it can get cold at any time of the year. Snow is always a possibility during the summer months. In winter, the average high temperature is -14 F/-26 C; lows average around -28 F/-33 C, not to mention the extremes.

We absolutely recommend that you take your fishing trips during the summer. With constant sunshine and relatively warm temperatures, you'll be most comfortable hauling in the trophy fish in Nunavut's outdoor splendor at this time of year. Be prepared for sudden changing weather conditions, as storms roll in and roll out regularly - don't get caught.

Of course you can always visit Nunavut during the spring or fall as well, but we strongly advise you steer clear during the winter months. With very short and limited light days, your chances of experiencing bitterly cold temperatures are almost 100 percent.
