Prince Edward Island Weather

The best time to fish Prince Edward Island is throughout June to mid October. The climate generally provides us with warm summers having average highs of around 75 F/26 C. Fall fishing is scenic and pleasant, because the warm waters of the Northumberland Strait keep the days in the mid 60s F/19 C.

Whenever in eastern Canada or the maritime provinces, bring along a few layers or a sweater or jacket. You will find summer nights to be cool upper 50s F/14 C, October nights in the 40s F/6-8 C. The winters can be long (the Northumberland Strait fills with ice) and the spring is usually cool with rain.
