Yukon Weather

Fishresource.com would like to introduce you to some of the most incredible fishing that Canada has to offer. Situated beside Alaska, the Yukon not only offers incredible angling, but also boats the coldest temperature ever recorded in Canada, with a reading of -81 F/-63 C.

Obviously it's not always cold in the Yukon, and we encourage you to bring back pictures of the ones that didn't get away!

Although we don't recommend winter trips, summers are warm, with average highs around 75 F/mid 20s C, though the temperature can climb even higher in a more than a dew locations. The best time to fish in the Yukon is from the beginning of June to the middle of September, but even then you will need a warm sweater or jacket or both, and nights are generally below 50 F/10 C. On a positive note, it rarely rains much, so you can spend more time out on the water, doing what you came there to do: fish!
